Professional profile description:
The cultural mediator carries out accompanying and facilitating activities in the relationship between immigrants and the context of reference, analyzing the needs and resources of the immigrant, preparing and/or remodulating a possible assistance plan and carrying out linguistic and cultural intermediation activities and orientation to public and private services. It also carries out training and counselling activities, as well as immigrants, also to Italian staff on duty, who interact with foreigners.

He works mainly as a self-employed person with collaboration contracts in the context of social cooperatives, on behalf of the public administration (registry, public relationship offices, employment centres, special immigration offices; foreign offices of the Questures, Commissioners, Reception Centres, etc.) and in the first reception services of schools, hospitals, consultants, prisons and courts. It operates with high levels of autonomy and is generally exposed to unpredictable changes.
